Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, booking a session or otherwise using Merit Marg (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for them.

2. Description of the service

The Service brings together three things:

• Exam information — a cycle-labelled guide to KVS teacher recruitment, linked to official sources.
• A mentorship marketplace — a way to discover and book one-on-one sessions with verified Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers.
• Practice tests — mock tests and analytics built to reflect the published exam blueprint.

3. No affiliation and no guarantee

Merit Marg is an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the Government of India.

We make no guarantee of exam selection, a qualifying score or employment. Our content, mentorship and practice material are preparation aids only. Official eligibility, dates, patterns, vacancies and results are governed solely by the relevant authority’s notifications, which you must verify directly.

4. User accounts and conduct

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be old enough under applicable law to form a binding contract; the Service is intended for adult aspirants rather than children.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misuse, resell or redistribute paid content, mock tests or mentor materials;
• harass, defraud or impersonate mentors, staff or other users;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• upload unlawful content or contact mentors for anything other than legitimate preparation.

5. Mentor bookings and our role

Merit Marg acts as a facilitator. We help you discover verified mentors and schedule sessions, but the mentorship itself is delivered by independent mentors. Guidance and opinions offered in a session are the mentor’s own and do not constitute a guarantee of any outcome. Cancellations, reschedules and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Payments

Paid plans and mentorship sessions are billed in Indian Rupees. Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway; we do not store your full card or banking details on our servers. By making a payment you also agree to the payment provider’s terms. Prices shown may change, but the amount payable is always confirmed at checkout before you pay.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its exam guide, mock tests, analytics, branding and design, is owned by Merit Marg or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own preparation. You may not copy, republish or commercially exploit any part of it without written permission.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free. Exam-related figures are compiled in good faith and, where sources disagree, flagged for you to verify against the official notification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merit Marg and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the content, from a mentor’s conduct, or from an examination outcome. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
